Tappinn adds NFC Tag Creation Tools and Analytics.
NFC mobile technology looms large, not only as the mobile payment vehicle behind Google Wallet, but also as a massive new form of mobile marketing.
NFC tags store information similar to QR codes except the user only needs to physically 'tap' the target with their phone to access content, removing the scanning step completely, we call it 'frictionless' permission.
How it works: In the page details section of the platform, members will see two new buttons. One that reads 'NFC Tags' and the other reads 'Create NFC Tag'. To view existing tags you would click 'NFC Tags' but to create a new URL and tag ID you must select 'Create NFC Tag'. Once the tag is set up in the system you can order programmed NFC stickers directly from Tappinn.

NFC Stickers Engage Audiences in a New Way
We don't call ourselves Tappinn (tap-in) for nothing!
A simple 2” x 2” NFC sticker can unlock unlimited marketing possibilities to engage smartphone users with mobile web content. The NFC sticker transmits the promotional web content once the phone is waived in front of it. Popular physical touch points include, packaging, displays, and smart posters. Audiences simply must ‘tap’ to engage with offers and deals on their phones.

You need the hardware, of course, and there are currently only a few NFC-enabled phones in the U.S. Click here to view a current list of NFC phones… Blackberry, Microsoft, and Apple are all rumored to roll out new NFC devices in 2012.

Microsoft Tag unveiled NFC and QR code support last week, which was monumental in the mobile tagging world. However, Tappinn actually becomes the first platform that blends a mobile website builder with NFC tag management, NFC sticker printing, and analytics. Not even Microsoft Tag can boast that.
